One week from my 21st birthday. Cool, eh? I'm not impressed.
Ben Folds is really cool. He makes me wish I could play piano.
I have a double major now: Microbiology and molecular biology. This amounts to a full course load and two part-time jobs, so you'll probably never see me again.
I'm sorry that I've been a bad friend to everyone lately. I just can't seem to find enough time to be what everyone wants me to be.
I've been to Boston thrice this summer, although one time was only overnight between connecting flights. I was really glad I got to see Cherie, and TJ and Jackie, and the rest of my family. I don't want to live lacking any of you.
The Guster (and Ben Folds/Rufus Wainwright) concert was really good.
I don't know how to write anymore, if you hadn't noticed and felt I ever could to begin with. Eh.
Three years down and two to go, although last summer was the last time I'll have a vacation or anything like it. I wish I had some pictures of painting my stupid house with TJ, or playing volleyball or pinochle with Denny. It's been forever since I've really seen Drew, and Brad is shipping off to Rochester soon. I've seen Greg and Jacob maybe three times in the last six months if you put the two together, and Mike a few more by pure chance. I've seen Jeff maybe once in the last year. Did this have to happen, or is it me?
I might... just might be with Cherie for the rest of my life, or at least as long as she'll have me. Her boss made her cry today; it breaks my heart to hear her sad and be unable to help. I realized today that the more you love someone the less the rest of the world makes sense. You experience that person in a way that others don't have time for, and it frustrates you to no end when they don't see what you do. You think of others in terms of who they love, but to understand that person well enough to know why is to love them as well... eventually the whole thing stops making sense, and you either stop caring that it doesn't make sense and live with it(me) or rail at the heavens until you lose it and give up (others in absence).
Anywho, I'm down to having next semester to plan, my job at IST, my directed research at the biomolecular science annex, and my computer vision REU. I need a clone. Or a wife. After all, who wouldn't want a wife?
I love you, Cherie, and can't wait to see you again. I hope this whole life thing works out well. Peace out, everyone.
