I suppose both of those comments deserve explanations.
I worked most of the night Tuesday and every waking minute Wednesday to finish up my Quantum Computing project. I got ambitious at the beginning and decided to write my own 3D routines rather than using the built-in ones that Java provides, so I spent all of my time doing that and very little doing the rest of the project. It was a lot of fun, and educational, but more or less just a silly mistake. Anyway, in the last half hour I fixed a major bug in the mathematics, cleaned up the interface, and rushed off to class, where *almost* nobody else had finished the project even to the poor extent that I had, so he gave us an extension.
That was fine; I'm looking forward to fixing it up further after this weekend's festivities. Anyway, my mood was indestructable because I was heading from there to go see Cherie. Sadly, as I was pulling out of the exit light at UCF a white burst of steam exploded from beneath the front-right portion of my hood, forcing me to a Holiday Inn parking lot not a quarter mile away. I called TJ, my parents, and eventually AAA when my attempts at diagnosis were met with another burst of steam that half a second earlier or later might have found my face.
I was pissed, but I made my programming team meeting of that night, which was productive, and $400 later the car is again in good working condition. I would still be cranky in all likelihood, except I got to spend the better part of the day yesterday taking Cherie to the mall and to dinner. She has a remarkably soothing effect on me, one might be wise to note ;) The net effect is that I've had a long and sleepless but overall positive week.
I have a quiz in French in twenty-five minutes, followed by some physics homework that I have to turn in. After that, I'll be moving my car somewhere that it can safely rest for the weekend, as it is still missing its parking hang-tag and would likely be booted by the time I got back from this competition otherwise. IST should suffice.
I would like to go to Prague. It would be fun. I'm exactly as confident, however, as I should be, which might say a lot either way. Best of luck to all of our teams; I'm sure one of us will make it.
