I do not struggle.

Not enough sleep, a bizarre dream, third at contest, calls cut short, nausea: Today.

My skin is crawling, like there's a layer of oil trapped just beneath the surface... Two true tears in four or five years now and I still can't cleanse myself of this feeling. I want to scream so loud that my house shakes down to its foundation. Damn it all, but I hate this memory.

*sigh*

In lieu of a scream, that by necessity sufficed. I've been surrounded by people all night with no one to say that to. I always tell myself that I'll feel better when I wake up in the morning. I suppose I've been right so far. I have no reason to feel this way. Life is wonderful, even if I must take this as a sign that I'm a bit out of balance. Breathe, Casey, and stop whining.

It's been a very long week, ending in a longer day. It's almost 4am, and I just returned from seeing The Rundown with Kevin, Phillip, Daniel, Mike and Jenn, and Shane and Theresa. It was a good action movie, and I will say no more, except that the new trailer for The Matrix: Revolutions would have made any movie bearable. Anyway, prior to that, we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe, which was also fun. I would have been embarrassing probably in different company and a different locale... rambunctious rather than the quiet observer and laughing audience.

I keep alt-tabbing to AIM to see if Cherie has signed on. The poor dear has been working day and night on school work and crew practice, and hasn't slept a full night all week to my knowledge. I pray she's sleeping peacefully, recovering for next week.

I saw Noises Off at the Annie Russell Theatre at Rollins this past Thursday. I really enjoy the play, and they put on a good production. A few of the characters in particular shined, but I'll leave that call up to you should you decide to see it yourselves.

It's amazing how much simply holding someone's hand can mean to a person. Drinking fresh water... driving with the windows down and the night air rushing past... I love you, Cherie.

I have programming practice in a few hours, but I don't think I can sleep... dammit. I'll stay up and do homework, I suppose, or watch The Matrix: Reloaded. Good night, everyone.

For the twentieth time, I flipped open my laptop in time to see Cherie sign off. Scott Adams is haunting me.

Okay, I know he's still alive. That's not the point. ;)

Today was cool. I woke up and went to the gym, where I used the argh machine for half an hour. Okay, I think it's the 'erg', short for ergometer, but I've got huge blisters on my fingers now, and they make me say 'argh'... Smack some sense into me later, okay? After that I beat the living hell out of a punching bag, biked for awhile, and generally made myself hurt in the good way. The nice part is, all of that was followed by a nice warm shower, except that the warm part became increasingly less accurate. Anyway, I left there and went to programming practice, where my team somehow won again, and ate a cookie and half of a sub. Somewhere during this time, I got a call from Ming, who is in town. I left practice and met Kevin at Home Depot, and then Ming, Boris, Heidi, and eventually Phillip at Chili's. We ate, drank, and were merry. From here, we proceeded to buy tickets for the midnight showing of Underworld, prior to which we killed an hour and a half wandering about the lesser wing of the abandoned mall. The movie itself was very nearly decent... what I mean to say is what it lacked in plot, well thought-out dialogue, and exciting gun and martial fight choreography, it more than made up for in gratuitous ass shots of the leather-clad female lead role.

If you know me well enough to be here, you're probably dripping with my projectile sarcasm. Sorry. I'll pay you half the cost of a ticket not to see this bland, ill-conceived, overcompensating travesty of film.

Okay, maybe it wasn't that bad. I mean, at least it wasn't Once Upon a Time in Mexico, but I'd rather watch Johnny Depp play in his style sandbox than ogle some vampire chick whose only attributes seem to be her British accent and the dual abilities to push open double doors and kick open single doors without them rebounding in her face. I can't decide which action held more pinache, even after seeing each probably six seperate times.

I'm not a film elitist, I swear ;)

Many thanks to Greg for picking up my check from Shoppers' Critique. I was afraid I was going to have to sacrifice to haul myself down there. I made more than I realized at that awful job, but I'd still rather make video games.

Katie, that you haven't met Cherie is something we simply must change. It's too bad, though... you're the only other person I know with nearly as much on her proverbial plate as Cherie, and something tells me the planets align more often than your schedules. For now, just know that you'd really like her ;)

The same is true of Katie, sweetheart. Some day I pray we'll have time for this :)

Alright, it's 3am, and while I am a bit lonely I'm not a particular Matchbox 20 fan, so I'm going to sleep. Take care, my friends.

I love you, Cherie :)
