I do not struggle.

I traded my cell phone for a 2-year annual pass to Islands of Adventure, a picture, and the most fun I've ever had at an amusement park.

*sigh*

I haven't posted much lately because I don't know words to do my feelings justice anymore. Cherie said yesterday with radiant marvel that we've never had a bad day... and it's the blissful truth. Something about her... about us... I'll be lucky if I ever understand it.

We went to Islands of Adventure yesterday: Cherie and I, her sister Michy, her mother, a friend from Spain named Marta, and a friend from Celebration named Christy. We went on the Tower of Terror ride... I mean Doctor Doom. That was a new experience, but quite fun all in all after I stopped seeing stars. After that we passed up the 75-minute wait for le Spider-Man and moved on, eventually, to the Dueling Dragons... By now we had lost Michy, Marta, and Christy to the water rides and Cherie's mother to the express passes, so we ended up riding the dragons five times. After this we grouped back up, rode the dragons once more, and ate lunch at the Enchanted Oak, a very cool tree-motif restaraunt. After the food, we went, in no particular order, to Spider-Man, the Hulk, Poseidon's Fury, the Cat in the Hat...

Wait, back up. The Hulk was cool, except that my cell phone fell out of my pocket and sailed gently in to the wild blue. That's cool, I have insurance. I figure it's the price in Karma that I pay for being so blessed lately. The karmaleons can keep taking my phone from now until the end of time... all they'll get to show for it is a shrug and a smile. While we were arguing over what to do about my phone... well, Michy is the sort of person who puts up a show about doing favors just for sake of the show, so she made a lot of noise about finding my phone without doing much of anything. Cherie pointed this out only to get yelled at and smacked on the arm by Michy. It took all of my self-control to let that slide, and even now I don't feel good about myself for it. "I don't hate her, but she's a bitch..." were my exact words to Cherie as we exited the park. Unfortunately, as we were walking around trying to find a wheelchair for the Queen of Outrage, she saw Cherie and I holding hands... whether she's going to blow the information out of proportion and run crying to her mother or simply blackmail Cherie and I until her 18th birthday is yet to be seen. It doesn't seem possible that Cherie and this person come from the same family even in the taxonometric sense, let alone by blood relation.

*sigh*

All of that was a fly on the windshield of a perfect day, but I got more upset about it than I should have. Cherie handles her family better than I would have thought possible... thank you for everything, sweetheart. I love you.

Other stuff lately? Programming practice was cool. I have an interview on Thursday. Recording is slow but fun and productive. I hate weeding. Life is wonderful.
