I was thinking of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon earlier this week after I saw a snippet of it on HBO, admiring the fight coreography and its general presentation. This prompted me to rent Iron Monkey, which was good. I agree with Jackie's assessment that the plot was better but the fights were not, and from that I came to the opposite conclusion as her which was that I like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon more of the two. If you liked the one, see the other.
Forgive me, certain things have me writing like crap today.
I went to the talent show three (I think) nights ago. It was quite good, as I always enjoy listening to vocal performances, and the other acts, with few exceptions, were outstanding. Afterwards we trucked off to Chilly's, where we sat out in the cold for twenty minutes trying to figure out where to go... which ended up being Buffalo Wild Wings. Joy. They have good water and not much of a wait, I can say that for them. Then again, they probably don't have much of a wait because the atmosphere and food both suck. Sadly, but as I have grown accustomed to, there was some drama. Christina was doing her thing, and Shane was having a bad night as a result of such behavior. I feel for them both, but the most important thing, I have learned, is stability, and in Christina there is none. I hope there isn't much pain floating around.
I just deleted a morbid diatribe. I have nothing worth saying that would fall on open ears. I read something laughably frustrating earlier, but I realized that I read nothing that I didn't expect, nothing that disappointed me. To our natures we are slaves.
I went to an awesome Thai restaurant tonight with Jackie, Brad, Molly, and John. I had forgotten how awesome Thai tea tastes, and curry is one of my new favorite foods. Mention it some time and I'll take you there.
The rest has been settlers, cards, and something wierd. More later.
